Pinhole poetry: Windows

What is inside?
What is outside? Who has the power to control what you see? "Windows" is a poem, a typology, that deconstructs the indexicality of the sharper image representation of the place I call home. The uncontrolled and unpredictable results of a handmade camera, foggy and damaged film sheets, and the chemistry experimentation in the darkroom, have created a new personal narrative. What you see is not real. In this poem, photography is not the result of the objective representation of my reality. It is an experiment of many interpretations and the voice of some friends who wrote the texts. It is a question spinning in my mind after many months of living in fear of going outside. What I see will depend on where I am. Inside? Outside? |
